The
ambient"Massa Trabaria" a strip of the Appennines that marks the borders between le Marche, Toscana and Umbria, limited to the east by Val Tiberina and to the cast by Val Metauro. A typical landscape: an expanse of woods which only breaks free, here and there, by neadows and cottages.
On foot from "Massa Trabaria" arises Mercatello on the Metauro, a place of great fame in the Middle Ages. It was an important market square in the collection of wood for the Papal State. Climbing up, on the right side of the Metauro river, on the road that from Mercatello on the Metauro
leads to the Val del Foglia after a few kilometres (about 620 mt s.l.m.) you meet "Cal Bianchino".
An ancient tower (XIV cent.) around whichyou can see which, humble country houses
that for centuries hosted numerous families simple in life and grateful, every day,
for the beloved land. Proof of life for them were the voices of the land, that in silence listened and meditated, they were in deep communion with
the past.
This house today is here for you who read and for us who write, is here to host who in silence wants to listen to the same voices of the land and of the ski, of the water and of the woods to enchant themselves with the same colours, and to return amongst mankind and with mankind.
